WWE’s main roster often sees plenty of changes. For now, the freshest change that fans need to update themselves about is Cody Rhodes‘ potential move to SmackDown. It is not yet clear whether WWE is permanently moving Rhodes, but as far as reports suggest, he is going to feature on the blue brand.

This possible move could be due to Roman Reigns taking a backseat and SmackDown left without a top star The reports that are coming in are yet only rumors, but something that fans might want to look into, to keep themselves updated.

The American Nightmare has been serving to keep WWE fans entertained as a member of the RAW roster. However, recent reports suggest that he is soon to appear on SmackDown as well. Although the reason behind the same is yet to be discovered, this is as far as the news goes. Just like how WWE has reportedly signed John Cena for seven straight SmackDown shows, it appears they could be trying to strike a similar schedule with Rhodes to boost viewership.

Recent advertising from WWE suggests that Rhodes is going to appear on Friday Night SmackDown this week. However, the details of his exact involvment hasn’t been revealed. This also gives the impression that the match would probably be a dark match and hence, won’t be televised. Instead, the promotion would like to have him over to hype up the audience either before or after the Friday night event.

If Rhodes is going to be in a dark match, then fans have not much to look into because it wouldn’t necessarily build into a feud. Similar to how he pinned Austin Theory on August 25th during a dark match this year, it could lead to nowhere. However, if this isn’t going to be a dark match, then there can be some speculations before the match.

Only a handful of wrestling fans would be unaware of the advancements in ‘The Bloodline’ story. The most recent update happened at Payback when Rhodes brought back Jey Uso to RAW after he quit SmackDown a few weeks ago. As it is being considered Rhodes’ ‘trump card’, WWE might also aid him in this quest. There is also the update on RAW where Adam Pearce revealed that Jey Uso’s move to RAW means they will have to trade a star to SmackDown. Cody Rhodes could be that star that gets traded.
