CM Punk is one of, if not, the most talked about superstars in the pro wrestling industry in recent months. Over the course of his run in the business, he has made very few friends. His controversial nature may be a reason for it. Many superstars don’t get along on the same page with him and he has his critics. Former WCW personality Eric Bischoff is one of those who isn’t a big fan of Punk.

From time to time, the former General Manager of WWE Raw mentions his aversion to Punk. Recently, he again took a shot at the two-time AEW World Champion on a social media platform.

Eric Bischoff doesn’t respect CM Punk

A recent tweet from Bischoff implies he respects Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho but doesn’t respect The Best In The World. This tweet was in response to a fan named Jay Evans, who questioned him about “singling out” Punk during his recent podcast episode.

It won’t be an understatement to say that the former WWE star never stays off the news headlines. Again, he is trending all over social media, since his potential return to AEW broke into the news. Regarding this matter, the WCW legend decided to share some of his views.

The fan, Jay Evans, realized that in the ‘Strictly Business’ with Eric Bischoff #22: CM Punk’s Potential AEW Return,’ Bischoff didn’t have a lot of positives to say about Punk. This led the fan to question him on Twitter regarding his actions.

As mentioned above, this is not the first time the former pro wrestling booker has said something negative about the two-time WWE Champion.

Bischoff brutally slammed Punk a few years ago

Around October 2021, The Best In The World made a comment about the AEW roster being better that the WCW Nitro in ’96. WCW is synonymous with Bischoff as he served as Executive Producer and Senior Vice President for the company. Therefore, the retired MMA star’s words stung him like a bee.

Bischoff came back with an even more powerful blow to Punk by taking a dig at his AEW career. He stated that ever since he came to AEW; he has done nothing to contribute to the show ratings. His exact words were, “Punk, you came in, and you sh*t the bed, in terms of ratings.”

Clearly, there is some bad blood between The Best In The World and the WWE Hall of Famer. But no one knows why the two superstars never get on the same page. That is a mystery for some other day to decipher.
