Recently released WWE Superstar Ric Flair is free to go where he wants to. However, the most common assumption is that he will head to AEW. However, Flair has clarified that is not the case.
During a conversation with Renee Paquette, he revealed that even though he is friends with Tony Khan, there has been no talks about him joining AEW. Nevertheless, when it comes to in-ring bouts, he wouldn’t mind a tag team alongside Andrade against Sting and Darby Allin. Apart from that, he does not see himself involved with any in-ring action as of now.

Ric Flair thank Vince McMahon when he returned to NWA
After being released, Ric Flair went to NWA for 73 PPV. During his promo, Flair thanked Vince McMahon, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and others within the WWE Universe who helped him through the lows of his WWE career and carried him.
He claimed that even though McMahon may never see his promo, he believes that the WWE Chairman will be happy to see where he is, and that he is where he belongs. As of now, he may still be able to work with another company if he wants to.
However, there were reports that Vince McMahon released Ric Flair after he tried to have a word with McMahon about Charlotte Flair’s storyline.
Ric Flair’s last storyline in WWE was an interesting one, but it did not sit well with him. He was put in a romantic relationship with Lacey Evans which became an awkward point for Ric Flair. Not only did he not like the storyline, but neither did his daughter, Charlotte Flair.
