The wrestling world found a brand new set of icons in Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes to get behind. These veterans of professional wrestling only started their journey with All Elite Wrestling based on a bet. Arguably the greatest bet in the history of the sport, as it spawned a dreamland for hardcore fans.
AEW not only served as a breath of fresh air but also brought back the old-school fans. It catered to the adult audiences, which other promotions seemed to miss out on. However, the promotion is far from becoming the perfect competitor to WWE, as it is seriously lacking in a number of areas.

All Elite Wrestling needs to come up with better storylines, pacing, and match-ups
The young promotion is still trying to find its place in the current landscape of professional wrestling. It indeed had a great start, but things seem to be falling off in terms of storylines and pacing. Recently, the character arc of Cody Rhodes vs Malakai Black is probably the best example of a horrible booking and rushed storyline.

Malakai’s rise to dominance took a long time to build. His victories over Cody were quite impressive, and it put him on the road to greatness. But sadly, things didn’t last long for the wrestler, as the recent loss to Cody has hampered his progress greatly.
Usually, if a wrestler secures 2 wins by fair means, it should bring a feud to and its end. However, in this instance, it went on unnecessarily only to produce a futile victory for Cody. It neither upped his stocks nor did it help Malakai Black in any way, shape, or form. In the exact same fashion, Adam Hangman Page’s return stomped on the fantastic storyline between Bryan Danielson and The Elite.

It is quite possible that the current AEW world title tournament will produce Bryan as the next contender. However, Hangman’s win over Kenny will once again serve as a spoilsport. This is a crucial point of the longstanding storyline that fell to the wayside because of Adam’s leave. Hopefully, AEW and Tony Khan can find a way to wrap it while also ensuring that the American Dragon and Kenny go head-to-head.
