It was heartbreaking to see Jeff Hardy getting released by WWE. The wrestling world was in shock when this news was announced. Jeff Hardy is an absolute legend in WWE. Apart from winning multiple championships in WWE, he certainly became a fan favorite with his looks and high-flying moves.

Jeff Hardy is a household name in the world of professional wrestling. For so many years, he has been entertaining fans all over the world. He even wrestled in other wrestling promotions, such as Impact Wrestling and ROH. But one wrestling promotion where Jeff is yet to arrive is All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Following his release, there were even rumors about Jeff joining his brother, Matt Hardy, in AEW after he recovers from the ongoing health problem. But it isn’t as easy as it seems.

Why will AEW hesitate to sign Jeff Hardy following his WWE release?

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW might not want to sign Jeff Hardy because he refused to get help from WWE to solve his health issues.

“Given his name value, one would think most companies would have interest in him, but for AEW, there has to be a question regarding signing him due to the nature of refusing rehab. A revitalized Hardy Brothers, something nobody expected to happen again given that Jeff had signed a new long-term deal with WWE, in that tag team picture would be hard to turn down. It would have to be on a zero-tolerance deal.” (h/t: Ringside News)

Well, we have seen recently how much Tony Khan is concerned with the health of his wrestlers. Thus, this might act as a major roadblock for Jeff Hardy signing with AEW. But again, Jeff Hardy is not an ordinary wrestler. The excitement he brings during the matches for the crowd to enjoy is praiseworthy. He is a veteran in the world of professional wrestling, having several achievements in different wrestling promotions.
