Ever since he left the WWE, Jon Moxley has rediscovered himself and brought back the mean streak that he was once famous for. A veteran of the infamous Combat Zone Wrestling, Moxley has done it all. By that, we mean some really brutal stuff, which includes smashing tube lights and going through barbed wire.

However, he exchanged this for a persona in the WWE which saw him play “The Lunatic Fringe” who rarely went unhinged. Even though he was being billed as a superstar who would go beyond the normal, the PG-13 limitations of WWE meant that it remained only on paper. All that changed when Moxley became a free agent and ultimately signed with All Elite Wrestling.

The company gave him all the freedom to unleash his dormant hardcore self. It paid off as Moxley soon became the face of the company and also became its second World champion after defeating Chris Jericho. Unfortunately, his style of wrestling has its own downsides.

It might be more entertaining but it also makes you more vulnerable to injuries. A small misstep can threaten your entire career. Recently, Moxley took part in a characteristically gruesome match at Double or Nothing against Brodie Lee.

A Twitter post by him shows the after-effects of all the brutality.

Jon Moxley suffers a bruised tailbone

Moxley decided to show a little too much to his fans as he pulled down his pants to give them a peek of his buttocks. The sight was definitely not pretty as you can see.

The post also received a reply from his wife and WWE analyst Renee Young. She said that she was ready with ice and a donut for him to sit on when he returns home. As was expected, the two received a lot of funny responses for the fans.

Coming back to the match, it’s easy to see why his tailbone would have been bruised. The entire contest saw Moxley landing on his back way more often than usual. This was combined with the offense of Lee which includes a lot of improvised slams.

Ultimately, Moxley was able to retain his coveted AEW world Championship. He has now been champion for more than three months. He’s expected to compete in another physical title defense against the machine Brian Cage.

If you’ve watched Cage compete before, you know that Moxley will be coming out of the match with even more bruises. Whom are you rooting for?
