Edge is a WWE legend who has cemented his name in professional wrestling history. His retirement in 2011 broke hearts, but when he returned in 2019 again, it felt like a part of our childhood was back.

Since the former World Champion returned to the ring, many wrestlers have talked about a dream match with Edge. One of those wrestlers is the Hall of Famer from the Hart Dynasty, Bret Hart.

Bret Hart was doing a Q&A session on Canada’s Walk of Fame’s Instagram stories. He recently got inducted into the Walk of Fame and answered many fan questions.

A fan asked The Hitman who he wished he could have faced in the current professional wrestling scenario. Bret said that he’d answered this question so many times, yet his answers kept changing.

Bret Hart said his answer changes multiple times because he wishes to have worked with so many guys.

“It’s kinda like, Kurt Angle stands out, CM Punk stands out.”

However, his list didn’t just end there. Two wrestlers he wanted to work with were Edge and Rey Mysterio. As for the Rated-R Superstar, Bret said, “One match with Edge would have been a beautiful thing to have.”

“Same thing with Rey Mysterio. I watch him, and I think of just what a great performer he was, how I wish I could have worked with him one time. Lex Luger, what a great experience that might have been.” The Hitman said.

Bret said he could go on and on about his dream matches. But if he had to answer on today’s scenario, the answer is Daniel Bryan.

Edge calls dream match with Bret Hart special.

Edge and Bret Hart have had quite the history despite never meeting in the squared circle. A video of a young Adam Copeland asking Bret for advice went viral not too long ago.

The young Adam grew up to become the Rated-R superstar, but he was just a kid with big dreams before that. Natalya retweeted the video and said, “The footage is incredible.”

Edge saw the video and had kind words to share about Bret and how he truly gave back to the business.

After viewing Bret’s Q&A calling Edge his dream opponent, he only had noble words to say for The Hitman.
