AEW All Out witnessed some truly great matches. However, not all of them ended on a good note, even for the victor. Even though Matt Hardy won his match, he still suffered a severe injury.
A massive fall had Hardy landing straight on the concrete instead of the table as planned. This definitely put Hardy at risk given that he has suffered a head injury in the recent past.
In this match against Sammy Guevara, Hardy seriously injured himself. After Hardy took the fall, AEW’s decision to continue the match was severely criticized on social media.

The company confirmed that Hardy was immediately taken to a hospital following the match.
AEW releases further reports about Matt Hardy
Now, reports have emerged that after Matt Hardy injured himself, Tony Khan stepped in to stop the match and get a clearance from the doctor. While this was a noble act from his side, fans believe that as an authority figure, Khan should have immediately stopped the match for good.
In AEW’s defense, the reports stated that Matt Hardy’s condition was declared okay once he arrived at the hospital.
Tony Khan says health and safety is foremost. Says Matt Hardy is OK. Tony stopped the match, doctor checked on him, doctor cleared him per protocol, and Matt passed concussion test. Went to hospital but is OK. #AEWAllOut #AEW

Unfortunately, the audience was in no mood for an apology. It is common knowledge that no health check up concludes within a minute.
Matt literally pulled sammy’s pants down because he couldn’t make it to his feet, he was so out of it and they still had him climb the stage set. If he got dizzy and fell off AEW would be so screwed right now, luckily he didn’t

What protocol is administered in 60 seconds? How many fingers? Come the fuck on. 🤦♂️

A concussion test isn't "Hey, got a concussion? No. Okay."

This is a situation where pointing fingers without obtaining all the facts would also be a short-sighted approach. However, the fans’ anger is also understandable. They just watched their beloved Superstar escape a career-threatening injury by mere inches.
Just to be clear to those saying the media present accepted that alone, I followed up.
This is the first time Tony Khan had ever been in a situation like that. My gut would have been to stop it, but I also definitely don’t envy having to make that call.https://t.co/0gUOkcJe1k https://t.co/zABKX8j2Jf

This match was an eye-opener as well. It just goes on to show the risks that professional wrestlers take for the sake of our entertainment. For those who say wrestling is fake, this should stand as a much-needed reality check.
