Initially, the reports said that Tony Khan did intervene and got an on-spot clearance from the doctors before letting the match continue. This did not sit well with the audience.

Now, Tony Khan has come forward with a statement of his own. In his statement, he assured everyone that Hardy has passed all necessary medical tests required to get clearance from the medical facility.

Furthermore, Matt Hardy is also free of all concussions.

Hardy’s next appearance will be during AEW Dynamite on the coming Wednesday. Whether he will be performing in-ring that day or not is unclear at the moment. According to Tony Khan, he will be coming to the arena to thank his fans for their constant support.

This is the second time that Hardy suffered a serious injury at the hands of Sammy Guevara. The first time, Guevara threw an industrial chair at Hardy’s forehead. Even though Hardy tried to block it, it got through and split his forehead open.

Even back then, Hardy was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment.

Given that these two injuries happened within a short span of time, it was expected the company would not allow Matt Hardy to move forward with the match.

In fact, his wife lashed out at the company as well. She was utterly furious at AEW for not taking the concussions or injuries seriously and letting the match go on with full-pace.
