Additional Changes Made to Survivor Series as Triple H Looks to Break Another Record Continuing His Streak

As Crown Jewel is on the horizon, WWE has started doing the preparations for their next Premium Live Event. Survivor Series takes place on November 25th, 2023, just 21 days after the Crown Jewel. With rumors looming that WWE might increase the seating capacity for Crown Jewel as the tickets sold out quickly, Triple H decided to make a similar decision for Survivor Series.

Triple H wants the Survivor Series to shatter records

The original seating capacity of the upcoming Survivor Series was said to be around 15,000 seats. However, considering the trends with their latest PLEs, WWE and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque decided to make some alterations to the Survivor Series. Instead of a seating capacity of 15,128, the seats will be amped up to 16,860 seats. Along with that, the stage will be downsized, so that they can accommodate more seats in the arena.

This year Survivor Series will be held at Allstate Arena, Illinois, Chicago. The arena has a total seating capacity of 18,500 seats. This means that if WWE wants, they could still add more seats to accommodate a larger audience at the arena. This decision could be made considering the record-breaking streak WWE has had this year. This year’s Payback had the highest number of attendees. Along with that, it had crossed a high viewership and merchandise sales.

Raw vs. SmackDown returns to Survivor Series

There have been rumors that WWE might bring back the fan-favorite Brand Wars to Survivor Series. It all started with Nick Aldis’ appointment as the new general manager of SmackDown. After he became the manager, we saw signs of a power tussle between him and Raw manager Adam Pearce. The first thing Aldis did was to bring Kevin Owens to SmackDown, thus completing the transaction between Raw and SmackDown.

The next thing that cemented the fans’ belief about Brand Wars was Aldis and Pearce’s backstage interaction at last week’s SmackDown. Jey Uso had made his way to SmackDown to dish out retaliation on his twin Jimmy Uso who had barged in at Raw last week. This made Nick Aldis very angry. Backstage, we saw both superstars arguing when Aldis decided to levy a heavy fine of $10,000 on Jey Uso for entering SmackDown without permission. At this moment, Pearce made his presence known at the scene and said he would do the same for Jimmy Uso. After this, Aldis told them to take a walk to which Pearce replied by saying, “Let the games begin”
