NXT’s Adam Cole has been compared to WWE legend Shawn Michaels a lot lately. Michaels has finally responded to these comparisons in a recent interview. It appears as if Shawn is more excited about the comparison than Adam Cole.
The NXT Champion has been a wonder and is on a hot streak. Notching win after win, his title reign is undisputed now. He successfully defended it at Takeover and is one of the hottest topics of discussion in WWE.
His in-ring charisma, prowess, and showmanship have earned him a lot of comparisons to the “Heart-Break Kid” himself.

Michaels gave his opinion on the comparison. He starts by saying that he understands the comparisons. He acknowledges Cole’s charisma and talent and says that he sees the resemblance.
Shawn Michaels is widely regarded as one of the greatest Wrestlers of all time, by some of the greatest wrestlers of all time! His impact on WWE and its growth can never be ignored.
“HBK” truly had some of the most memorable moments and matches that WWE fans have ever witnessed. His career ended after the insane WrestleMania 26 Career vs Streak match against The Undertaker.
Shawn Michaels is “flattered” about comparisons made to Cole
The two all-time greats battled each other for what was most valuable to them. The match was well fought and emotions ran high to the end.

HBK fought to the very end and audaciously slapped The Undertaker before being thunderously tombstoned and pinned. Since then, no one has brought on quite the effect Michaels had in the ring. Not until now at least.
Adam Cole seems like a worthy successor to Michaels and may even cement his spot in the Hall Of Fame.
Shawn expresses his respect for Cole, and how he’s always carried the banner of NXT well. He is also impressed by how long Cole has managed to stay on top.

Expressing concern at the end of the interview, Michaels wonders how long Cole can go before his luck runs out. We can only hope it doesn’t, and we see a lot more of Adam Cole perhaps on the main roster in a while.
