WWE NXT TakeOver 36 will feature three different types of matches, withIN the same match. The company has announced that Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole will go to war in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match.
Both Superstars were given the liberty to choose their type of match. Kyle O’Reilly chose a standard match while Adam Cole chose a Street Fight. The third round will be a steel cage match.

Well, the third fight will only be needed if both of them win one each in the first two rounds. If either of them wins the first two, going for a third-round will be unnecessary.
Cole and O’Reilly will finally take to the ring to conclude their rivalry and show the WWE Universe who is the better one out of the two Superstars. Both of them stand a 50% chance of winning, but it could be O’Reilly considering the status of Cole’s contract with WWE.

Adam Cole is working on an extended contract
Reports claim that Cole has signed an extension in order to continue working with WWE NXT until NXT TakeOver 36. Otherwise, his original contract expired sometime following The Great American Bash.
As of now, there’s no confirmation if Adam Cole will continue to stay with WWE or move to another promotion. He will become a free agent as soon as his extended contract ends. There will be no need for him to serve any period of a non-compete clause.
While it’s important for WWE to try and reach a point of agreement with Cole and keep him with the Gold and Black brand, apparently, AEW has already sent over a contract from their end to Cole.
If he moves to AEW, it will be a huge addition to the company’s roster alongside the existing former Superstars who went onboard after WWE released them.
