The speculations about Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson returning to WWE for one more match are never to be ruled out. Recently there have been reports about The Rock facing his cousin Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at WrestleMania. However, fans believe such a huge match sells on its own and doesn’t need a title.

With WrestleMania set for Los Angeles, California, next year, WWE is reportedly pushing for a big title match between two megastars.
Roman Reigns with his ‘Head of the Table’ gimmick has been on the top of his game. He has defeated almost every possible contender for his title and right now is on a record-breaking run.
A recent report revealed that WWE has no intentions for Reigns to drop his title anytime soon. And the plan is still to have a match with ‘The Rock’ involving the championship.
Fans react to possible Dwayne Johnson plans on WWE return
WWE looking to book Roman Reigns versus Dwayne Johnson seems like a straightforward decision. The Rock, because of his Hollywood presence, will bring more attention and eyeballs than ever before to the WWE product.
A match such as this could also catapult Reigns to the next level of stardom. Johnson is a global name, who has fans worldwide. If ‘The Tribal Chief’ goes one-on-one with him, he could be exposed to an even bigger audience than ever before.
However, reports of Reigns staying as champion heading into WrestleMania to face ‘The Great One’ haven’t gone down well with the fans.
They believe this could take away the chance from someone else to compete for the title and they have let their displeasure known over on Twitter.

People also believe there are other wrestlers on the roster who deserve an opportunity with the title.
Absolutely not. I’ve been saying this forever.
Both men’s star power is enough to sell it. Rock is 50, Reigns is in his prime. The rosters are aching to have a title. They can’t be held hostage just to bolster this clash of generations.
Ultimately, it’s unnecessary. Period.

In my opinion, this match doesn’t need the World Title. If Roman drops the title to someone like Cody, Seth, Drew, etc., then we could get a great World title match and Roman v Rock separate.

Though the fans wish to see this match happen, they would rather have the title not involved. But we have seen WWE go down this route before with Rock versus Cena II at WrestleMania 29.
