Despite his recent return for WrestleMania 40 being met with some criticism for potentially overshadowing Cody Rhodes‘ storyline, The Rock’s history in WWE tells a different story. In the video, we can see Johnson comes in as the host of WrestleMania 27. WrestleMania 27 kicks off with an electric atmosphere! The Rock basks in the thunderous chants of “Rocky” for a solid three minutes before finally making his way to the ring.

Checking off each turnbuckle with flair, he poses for the ecstatic fans.

After a thrilling seven-minute entrance, Dwayne Johnson grabs the mic, soaking in the chants of his name from the crowd. After watching this throwback video fans took to the comment section to express their nostalgic experiences and also how they felt about that return.

The video uploaded by WWE Network garnered thousands of likes from the WWE Universe. Fans had a ton of positive things to say in turn. One fan stated that he could not believe his eyes that Johnson had returned even though he was seeing the event live. 

Another fan also expressed how he and Punk brought him back from a not-great state as they were dipping in and out. 

Other users said that this was amazing and how much they liked watching it.
