Pro wrestling is a risky business. Even though a lot of injuries are kayfabe, one wrong move, and the star might end up having a real injury. Lately, a lot of stars have suffered a similar fate and have been put out of action indefinitely. These include Charlotte Flair, Big E, and CM Punk, whom fans haven’t seen in action due to their injuries. Now, another star has added her name to the list as she will be missing the matches due to an ACL tear.

This week’s episode of NXT has been taped last week. In the episode, Shotzi challenged Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship. In the episode that aired tonight, fans could see Shotzi suffering an accident and thus injuring her knee inside the ring. She was then assisted backstage where further assessment was done.
This “freak accident” ended up costing her a spot at last week’s SmackDown. She was set to face against Tiffany Straton for a spot at the 2024 Elimination Chamber. However, due to this injury, Alba Fyre was brought on board. In her post, she also explained how she has been“the most motivated” and ensured that she will be looking forward to coming back “not just physically stronger, but mentally also.”
As Shotzi expressed her deep emotions and took motivation from her sister’s fight against cancer, she expressed that she will build on the confidence and start “putting the heartache from the past two years behind” her. Her strong attitude was backed by many stars who showcased their support for Shotzi during these tough times.
