“Abducted by Aliens”: Chris Jericho Brutally Mocked for His Physique Online Days After Sheamus Was Body Shamed

Sheamus returned to WWE after WrestleMania XL. While some fans rejoiced at the sight of the Irish wrestler, others criticized him online for having put on some weight since his last appearance in 2023. The WWE star isn’t the only pro wrestler in the industry who accrued ridicule for his physique recently. The IWC also called out AEW talent Chris Jericho for his physical appearance when one of his selfies resurfaced on the internet.

While Sheamus was shamed for the weight that he had gained, fans got behind Chris Jericho because of how different he looks now compared to his younger self. During a podcast episode aired in 2022, the pro wrestling veteran claimed that he was once abducted by aliens. This served as the base of the ridicule he received on the internet for his physique. His resurfaced comment, along with the year-old selfie on Instagram, paved the way for fans to troll the AEW star.

Fans mainly targeted the loose skin on Jericho’s body, potentially as a result of his growing age. While some supported his hard work even at his current age, others trolled him on X. There were fans out there who stood in Sheamus’ support when he was body-shamed on social media.

However, it appears that Jericho would have to handle the internet trolls all alone for a while.

Fans compare Chris Jericho with an extra-terrestrial creature

It all started when a fan recalled the former WWE star’s words when he talked about aliens having abducted him. He paired this up with an old mirror selfie of his body and made a comment intended to troll. His selfie was posted alongside a picture of ET (Extra Terrestrial) from the movie ET. The comment suggested that Chris Jericho’s comment about having been abducted could be true because he now looks like the alien from the popular Hollywood film.

Another fan agreed to the same by claiming that he couldn’t spot the difference.

Having witnessed a plethora of ridiculous and over-the-top scenarios in pro wrestling, one member of the IWC remarked that this wouldn’t be the most far-fetched thing they might have seen.

An internet user compared the wrestler to an animal who seems to have just given birth after seeing his abdomen in the picture.

This user had a bout with nostalgia as they compare Jericho’s current physique to the one that he used to have back in the ‘good old days’.
