The supremely talented former NXT UK Women’s Champion, Kay Lee Ray, is reportedly training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
The Scottish wrestler made her NXT UK in-ring debut in March back in 2019. She defeated Candy Floss in her first in-ring match in the promotion. She ran through everyone on the roster and became the longest-reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion in history!
However, her record-setting run with the NXT UK Women’s Championship ended at 649 days when she lost to Japanese star, Meiko Satomura.

Surely, this sighting invites a lot of speculation regarding her WWE future. As noted for now, there is no timeline for her NXT debut. But given KLR’s accolades, she will definitely be a valuable addition to the NXT or Raw/SmackDown roster.
If she debuts on the NXT roster in the coming weeks, the women’s division might get even more interesting. It would be the same if she debuts on RAW or SmackDown. After all, there is no word on where she is headed to next!
Kay Lee Ray had a splendid run in WWE NXT UK
Ray first appeared at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool in 2019 alongside Jazzy Gabert at ringside. After her first win against Candy Floss, she then went on to win a battle royal to earn an opportunity to face Toni Storm, who was the NXT UK Women’s Champion at that time.

The two wrestlers then met at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff, where Ray defeated Storm in a physical match-up to win the NXT UK Women’s Championship and became the first British-born wrestler to hold the belt.
Ray not only proved herself in classic one-on-one matches, but also did good work in matches with different kinds of stipulations.
Ray retained her title time and time again against different opponents. She eventually made a record-setting reign with the title at 649 days when she lost against Meiko Satomura.
