“A Little Tricky…”: Hulk Hogan Once Opened Up About Life After His Whole Family Got Famous

Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan among WWE fans, once talked about the one major compromise that one has to make after being famous. Hulk Hogan is undoubtedly one of the most famous WWE superstars of the 80s. His popularity skyrocketed even more once he appeared in the reality TV show ‘Hogan Knows Best’. 

The show ended up being a hit and as a result, not only Hulk, but his entire family got the limelight. However, with the popularity, compromises also come in handy. And, once Hulk Hogan talked about the compromises his family had to make in return for getting fame.

Hogan on compromises and fame

Years ago, Hulk Hogan appeared in a show after the success of the first season of ‘Hogan Knows Best’. There, he discussed several things with the host. And, during the show, a segment came when the host asked Hogan about the changes that happened in their life after the entire family got famous.

To this Hogan instantly replied that privacy is the first thing that they had to compromise once they got famous. He even mentioned that sometimes they get too involved in the moment that they forget that there are cameras around them.

While talking to the host, Hogan said, “Well, there’s no privacy number one but we love doing the show because we made friends with the production crew which is a bad thing because you drink beer and go to the beach with them and then you really forget the cameras are there.”

Later, he mentioned that no matter how careful they tried to be, the crew always ended up getting the extra footage that they didn’t expect.

“Well, they….. you know….they’re a little tricky….you know they do get a little extra footage we don’t expect but it’s good”

Apart from being a professional wrestler, Hulk Hogan also earned a good name in the TV and film industry. He was featured in several Hollywood movies. Moreover, the show ‘Hogan Knows Better’ was one of a kind show at that time. That show even carved the niche for ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ which shares the same genre as Hogan’s show. 

Even though the entire Hogan family had to give up their privacy to some extent. But, as the show gained popularity, the Hogan family ended up getting several other good projects as well.
