Rivalries are not new in the wrestling universe. WWE has been witness to some iconic rivalries. One such feud that grabbed public attention and was a hot topic almost a decade ago was between John Cena and Dwayne Johnson. The tension between the two was a subject of intense speculation within the entertainment industry and among fans worldwide.
But that feud has long been settled with both Hollywood stars showing admiration and respect for each other. In fact, Cena took it upon himself to come to the defense of the Fast franchise that had The Rock in leading roles for various installments.
John Cena responds to the criticism of the Fast franchise

The latest installment of Fast X was a blockbuster. In the credit score, fans saw a teaser of Dwayne Johnson’s return to the $7.2 billion franchise. Johnson has also recently confirmed that he is coming back to the franchise with his character Luke Hobbs.
John Cena recently addressed the remarks and rumors surrounding his latest Blockbuster release Fast X. Cena was very straightforward while addressing the negative comments on the sequels and people calling for it to end.
He said, “Having just performed at the 39th installment of WrestleMania, my philosophy is: ‘As long as it’s good, that’s all that matters.’” John Cena added, “Fast continuously–and box office data backs it up–entertains the world, installation after installation.”
John Cena made his Fast & Furious debut in Fast 9 as Jakob Torretto, brother of Vin Diesel’s character Dom. Defending the franchise, he said, it shouldn’t matter how many films are there and how many sequels they make. As long as the films satisfy the audience, that is all that matters.
There have been eleven installments in the Fast & Furious franchise. It is anticipated that there can be more sequels, including a conclusion to the franchise.
Dwayne Johnson to return to Fast & Furious and also co-produce it
The People’s Champion, The Rock, has done incredibly well in the film industry. It was with the Fast franchise that his acting career went into the next gear but left it after a bitter clash with Vin Diesel. However, in a surprising turn of events, Dwayne Johnson has ended his long-standing beef with Vin Diesel and making a return.

He made a revelation saying that Luke Hobbs will indeed be back for a new “Fast & Furious” stand-alone film. Dwayne Johnson is not just going to be part of the sequel, but also going to co-produce it.
Johnson, Diesel, and Morgan are co-producing the film alongside Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Samantha Vincent, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Neal Moritz.

With DJ back in the franchise there is a possibility of seeing him and Cena on the big screen together. John Cena, in his previous interviews, has also stated that there is no ill will between them and he is open to all the possibilities that will make the series a success and entertain the worldwide audience.
