

Dwayne Johnson is a hard-worker, and is also a self-proclaimed, ‘hardest worker in the room’. Johnson knows what struggle means, and he has come a long way from where he began. After failing to gain a kick-start to his football career, Johnson chose another path. The path that first led him to wrestle and later to the stars of Hollywood.
Johnson is one of the jolliest personalities around, his down-to-earth nature and humor are often appreciated by his fans. However, he had to fight several of his battles as well. There was a point in time when Dwayne Johnson needed help in recovering from a severe bout of depression.

Those days are long gone, but he has one remedy which according to him, helps. During a recent with Men’s Health, Johnson opened up about various things about his life, including his battle with depression. He said, “During those times when I fell into and was challenged by depression, the gym became my best friend and I know it’s like that for a lot of people.”

The 50-year-old further stated how working out helps because it sweats out the toxins. He said, “You’re able to go to the gym to sweat out toxins and get a little bit more clarity when you walk out the door. It doesn’t fix the problem, but it helps.” The Rock works out regularly, and it is quite evident if one has a look at his physique.

Dwayne Johnson points out a common tendency
Depression is one of the most antagonizing mental health issues out there. Dwayne Johnson has, only now, openly spoken about this. Further, he has often suggested his methods for overcoming depression.

He said, “As guys, we have a tendency to not ask for help. Ego gets in the way, and we start stuffing things deep down in our guts, which is not a good thing. I’ve become an advocate for asking for help.” The Brahma Bull further claimed how he has found balance in life and remains in touch with the simple things that please him and are important to him.
