One of the highest-paid actors in the world, Dwayne Johnson, did not always enjoy his riches. During his early life, he had to struggle a lot and did not belong to the privileged class. Even during his early years as an athlete, he did not witness such high payments.
However, with time, Johnson transformed his career into a dream-like one. After not making it into the big leagues as a footballer, Johnson found himself in the land of professional wrestling and WWE. Soon after debuting in the WWE, he became one of the top stars in the company and still is one of the most popular superstars.

On top of it, he is currently one of the top-sought actors in the world. His latest film, Black Adam, is just around the corner and is also one of 2022’s most hyped films. DJ recently met with the Mexican TV show host Yordi Rosado, while promoting his film there.
During his interview with Rosado, he revealed his struggles growing up, and how he once had to face humiliation for a sum of money less than $1000. When Rosado asked The Rock about how his financial situation was growing up, he spoke about a saddening incident.

The Rock said, “There was a little place we lived in.$180 a week, we couldn’t pay that for 5 weeks. We couldn’t pay it, and they finally kicked us out. And kicked us off the island. So, we had to leave Hawaii.” Although his father was a professional wrestler and he belonged to the legendary Anoa’i family, he was not well-off.
He continued, “ We came home and there was the eviction notice that was on the door. So, within five days you have to leave. And I’ll never forget my mom, my mom started crying.” He revealed how he saw his mother crying that day, and promising to himself that he would never let that happen again. The Brahma Bull continued, “And I remember like it was yesterday; I remember thinking I would do everything I can to make sure this never happens again.” And so he did.
The Rock bought his mother a Cape Cod-style house worth $3.48 million in Encino.
