“ATTN: Due to having a serious medical emergency while on the show floor, Sabu will not be appearing for the remainder of the Expo. He is currently in route to a local medical facility,” the expo informed its guest via a Facebook post.

Just a few hours later, Sabu gave a positive update about his current health condition. “Hello everyone I am doing better and thank you for your well wishes ☝️,” the former ECW World Heavyweight Champion tweeted.

Though details of his medical emergency haven’t been revealed yet, a Facebook user said Sabu wasn’t mingling with fans at the expo. Another said the ECW legend didn’t look well at the expo.

Meanwhile, WWE legend Rob Van Dam had a one-emoji reaction to the health update. Sabu and RVD teamed up to win two World Tag Team Championships. His other championship win was with Taz.

Sabu announced his retirement from wrestling on November 5, 2021. He also named a current superstar as his dream final opponent.

Sabu wanted to wrestle Brock Lesnar as his final opponent

‘The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death–Defying Maniac’ announced his retirement during a chat with Wrestling Shoot Interviews. During the course of the chat, Sabu revealed his back injury as a reason to hang his boots but mentioned he wanted to face Brock Lesnar as his final opponent.

When asked why Lesnar though, he said he liked jostling with big guys like the former WWE champion.

Sabu first entered the WWE in 1993 for a year, during which he appeared in three matches. He came back to Stamford-based promotion for another year between 2006 and 2007. His WWE stints, however, weren’t as decorated as the ones he had with ECW.
