The pro wrestling business saw major changes in the 80s and the 90s. Hulk Hogan ruled the 80s and early 90s until Stone Cold Steve Austin rose to success in the late 90s and early 2000s. It is still a debate about who among these two wrestlers is the greatest.

Hogan and Austin both are still popular among wrestling fans. Fans always cheer loud whenever The Hulkster or The Texas Rattlesnake is in the arena.

Recently, a former WCW superstar Marcus Bagwell, known to fans as Buff Bagwell, shared his opinion about Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin. He shared this on Twitter while replying to a fan question.

One of the fans and Bagwell were tweeting about WWE and WCW when another fan tweeted asking, “Nothing to do with this post but who do you think the bigger star is stone cold or hogan”

Bagwell replied to the hard question by saying, “That’s a hard one, Hogan was on top a lot longer, but Austin had more post wrestling success.”

Bagwell’s opinion was equally towards The Rattlesnake and The Hulkster. Hogan was on the top for many years, including his last run in WWE and TNA. Austin mainly had some brilliant matches in WWE in his career, but after retirement, he achieved more success.

It’s hard for anyone to say who is more successful between Hogan and Stone Cold. But Buff Bagwell’s opinion has a valid point about what separates Hogan and Stone Cold.

Hulk Hogan was on the top in WWE, WCW, and even TNA. During his time, Hogan helped Vince McMahon to bring WWE to its heights in the business. He was most of the time the reason many fans came to the arena to watch WWE.

However, when Austin came into WWE, the company started defeating WCW in ratings. Austin retired early and post-retirement, acted in some movies, and also has his own talk show now. Nevertheless, Stone Cold had one of the most memorable wrestling careers in the business’s history and is on top to date.
