Former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio is engaged in a personal rivalry with his own son, Dominik Mysterio. His feud started when his real-life son, Dominik beat up the legend with a chair after their match at Clash at the Castle last year. Since then, he has only suffered humiliation at the hand of his son and member of The Judgement Day.

But after his son ruined Christmas and Thanksgiving for his father, Rey moved to the blue brand, SmackDown. There, he enjoyed some time away from his disrespectful son, but now Dominik is visiting SmackDown as well. It is only a matter of time before the father and son clash and have a big match at WrestleMania 39 to end this year-long storyline, which saw break-ins and jail time included as well.

But respect for fatherhood is not lost on everyone on the WWE roster right now. A top WWE star recently faced Dominik and gave him a stern lesson on discipline and respect. Also, he intends to beat these lessons into Dominik if the Judgement Day member won’t stop harassing his father.

Top WWE star calls out Dominik Mysterio by sharing a heartwarming photo with his own father

Last Friday, on SmackDown, Rey Mysterio was being interviewed when Santos Escobar interrupted him. He talked to Rey about respect and working with the great legend. But then Dominik dropped in and called out Escobar for hiding behind Rey. But Santos sternly stood up to Dominik and stated the young Mysterio hides behind Rhea Ripley. Then, he goes on to hint at a match between the two in the near future.

After WWE posted the entire segment on Twitter, Santos Escobar replied with a heartwarming photo of his own father. This, along with his comments on the show, could mean that Legado Del Fantasma, Escobar’s faction could be going toe-to-toe with Judgement Day after WrestleMania 39, as Ripley will be featured with Charlotte Flair more often.

Seeing these two groups clash will be amazing as both have equality in numbers and are top-notch wrestlers. Legado was the prime group on NXT, taking everyone down and running the show. It will be great to see that side crop up in the main roster as well.
