The Beast was recently involved in an all-out brawl against The Almighty Bobby Lashley at WWE Crown Jewel. In one such anecdote from the book, he has written about his initial days as a professional wrestler. The 10-times world champion went on to write about his first paycheck from WWE.
He wrote, “For the first time in my life, I had money in my pocket. I used my signing bonus to pay off my student loans, and I bought a motorcycle. I hadn’t even stepped foot into a wrestling ring yet, and I was debt-free. Those WWE paychecks were coming in every week, and I thought I had it made.”
Brock Lesnar: a career spanning more than two decades
Lesnar, from his own admittance, faced the going tough in the early stages of his career, although he had already shown promise from his college days. He had won the NCAA Heavyweight Championship before securing a contract with the major wrestling promotion WWE.
The Beast would go on to dominate the squared circle for years to come. His feuds with legends such as The Undertaker and The Big Show are etched forever in fans’ memory. However, he would go on to leave WWE initially in 2004 after the WrestleMania 20 event.
The Beast Incarnate was an established name in combat sports by then. And he would go on to have successful stints first in the Japanese wrestling circuit and later on in the UFC.
