25-Year-Old WWE Star Reportedly Dating Top Star from Vince McMahon’s Rival Company

The rivalry between WWE and AEW is not a negligible one and loyalty plays an important role if a wrestler wants to succeed. But when it comes to love, there are no forbidden doors. And here’s the latest example for it, which is the newly confirmed relationship between Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews.

‘The Nightmare’ is one of the most exciting mainstays in WWE RAW. The ultra-strong Aussie has been extending her trophy cabinet with accolades including NXT, RAW, and Tag Team titles. Recently, Ripley commented on a fan’s tweet, indirectly confirming her relationship with AEW star Buddy Matthews.

The 25-year-old champ has not been too vocal about her romantic life. But she had a relationship with Demetri Jackson, a wrestler on the independent circuit in 2021.

However, rumors about Ripley and fellow Australian wrestler Buddy Matthews have caught the attention of her fans. Recently, one fan tweeted about her liking her post joking that Ripley could go on a date with that fan, followed by speculation that Ripley is dating Buddy Matthews to get back at her opponent Liv Morgan.

Further, that fan asked what did Matthews have that they didn’t, and the former NXT champion replied, “Me”.

Moreover, Buddy Matthews has been with AEW since the past February. Before that, Matthews was Buddy Murphy of WWE, competing beside Seth Rollins and Wesley Blake in NXT, for eight years. Currently, he is aligning with Malakai Black and Brody King of The House of Black, progressing their feud with Penta Oscuro and PAC of Death Triangle.

The AEW star was previously engaged with WWE superstar Alexa Bliss until 2018. Now, the fans were speculating about Ripley and Matthews for a while seeing each other as the couple has been appearing together on their social media posts and Matthews often comes in Ripley’s Twitch Streams.

Furthermore, Rhea Ripley talked about her decision to feud with Liv Morgan in a backstage interview with WWE and it led to a hassle between the former tag team partners. The two women will have a face-off in the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday.
