Paul Heyman is undeniably one of the most outspoken wrestling personalities. The ECW veteran is recognized for his scathing promos and controversial take on things. However, he might have some competition, as ESPN Sports analyst, Stephen A. Smith, has threatened to take his job from him. Heyman and Smith are no strangers to trading barbs with each other in the past.

It all started when Stephen A. Smith expressed his desire to join pro wrestling as a manager and face off against Paul Heyman in a battle of the managers. Heyman, on the other hand, responded, stating that Smith comes from the “Ocean of Obscurity” while he resides on the “Island of Relevancy”. That said, during the latest edition of ESPN’s First Take, Roman Reigns‘ special counsel finally met his rival. And the fans couldn’t help but feel excited.

We never thought we would see this, but Smith and Heyman were in the same frame while the former got emotional about Heyman’s job. At first, Smith revealed that he admired Heyman for his job. While Heyman embraced Smith, babying him, Smith admitted that he was envious of Heyman’s charisma.

He then proceeded to issue a threat, claiming that he would replace him someday. Interestingly, Smith held the coveted WWE World Titles on his shoulders. Could that be any indication? Anyway, he said, “You mark my words. I am coming for you, Paul. I am coming for you.”

Nonetheless, fans had interesting takes on their promo on First Take. Here are a few reactions on Twitter.
