Wilt Chamberlain was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He created history with his game in the NBA and set many records. Wilt won two NBA Championships, once in 1967 with the Philadelphia 76ers and again in 1972 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Many of the greats who have followed him have not broken his records yet. Moreover, Wilt was a phenomenal athlete who inspired many other athletes. However, there is one former WWE Champion who claims he has given advice to the NBA legend.

Recently, Dolph Ziggler appeared on NXT to open the show by interrupting NXT Champion Bron Breakker. Bron talked about how he was glad to have successfully defended his NXT Championship. However, that is where Ziggler chimed in.

At the beginning of the promo, Dolph congratulated Bron on his first successful title defense. He said that one never forgets their first successful defense and revealed he told NBA legend, Wilt Chamberlain, the same thing. Consequently, Dolph played the role of the veteran and gave advice to the NXT Champion.

It will be interesting to see if Dolph Ziggler gives a follow-up on that story with Wilt Chamberlain as he was born after Wilt retired.

Ziggler seems to be on a new storyline as his feud with Bron Breakker heats up on NXT.

Wilt Chamberlain set so many new records in his prime that they are hard to fathom. In addition to winning the NBA Championship twice, he was also a four-time regular-season Most Valuable Player. He also won the Rookie of the Year award and an NBA Finals MVP award.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer was the only NBA player to score 4000 points in a season. He averaged a score of 50.4 points per game during the 1961-62 season.

Wilt has left a legacy behind him that inspires athletes around the world. Clearly, he has inspired athletes from beyond just basketball as he became a household name. The NBA legend sadly passed away in October 1999, at the age of 63. However, his accomplishments in basketball have made him immortal.
