‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair is currently 74 years old. However, despite being in his 70s, Flair wrestled his final retirement match last year against Jay Lethal, and Jeff Jarrett. An essential part of the wrestling business for the past five decades, Flair has seen and experienced almost everything in the business.
One of the toughest names in the business, Flair sacrificed his body several times, and even wrestled while being critically injured. His own struggles and determination saw him give everything to the business that gave him fame. Recently, while promoting his energy drink, Flair would become critical of NBA stars, who complain about minor injuries, and miss out on games.

Fighting through pain and hardships Ric Flair made a name for himself in the business. He fought matches with injuries, but never let them come in his way or career. Recently while speaking to Fox News about his new energy drink, Flair would start a rant against the current set of NBA players.
He would claim that these players cannot handle a minor injury and instead go on whining about it. Flair said, ” These basketball players that whine and b—h, it’s taken a lot of the sport away from me. ” He would then compare it with his own sport of pro wrestling, and claim that wrestlers go to work “hurt”.
The 74-year-old further said, “That’s what p***s me off today about these basketball players that stub their toe. No s–t. How do you think I feel about that knowing I wrestled six months after I broke my back in a f—ing airplane crash? Flair would break his back in a crash airplane landing, causing severe damage to his back. However, being the tough guy he was he returned to the ring soon after and kept going strong for years and years.
He became highly critical of the NBA players and the lengths they go to after suffering even a minor injury. Despite his criticisms, Flair is a huge LeBron James fan and made sure to pass down his respect to him amidst these criticisms.

What did Ric Flair claim about LeBron James?
Speaking in the same interview, he would also open up about LeBron James, and his fandom for him. Flair revealed that he is a huge fan of James, and praised him for breaking Kareem Abdul Jaffar’s record. He said, “He broke Kareem’s [Abdul-Jabaar] record in 21 years in the league! On the cover of Sports Illustrated at 16!”

Fondly known as ‘The King’, James deserves every inch of that respect. On several other previous occasions, Flair had shown his love for LeBron James. And, while he was busy criticizing the NBA players, he made sure to let his respect for James be known.
