What’s a mountain in front of a rock? Nothing! But, what’s Shaq in front of The Rock? Apparently, nothing. At least, this is what Dwayne Johnson claims.
Back in 2014, Dwayne Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal appeared on Inside the NBA, and had a conversation about who can defeat whom. The NBA Legend claimed he can defeat The Rock, just like he can defeat Hulk Hogan, Big Show, and others.

Well, The People’s Champ would beg to differ. He presented his answer just the way The Rock would cut promos in the WWE ring.
“There’s a reason they they call me the jabroni-beating, the pie-eating, trailblazing, eyebrow raising, ready to flip Shaq’s a** in a second.”
However, an important factor to keep in mind is that while Shaq is taller, Johnson is trained for the ring. Therefore, he could definitely pin Shaq, just like he pinned several WWE Legends over the years.

During the same conversation, Shaq believed that he could defeat Charles Barkley. On the other hand, The Rock thought O’Neal was incapable of this as well!
Let’s not forget that The Rock thinking Shaq cannot beat him is rather bold, considering the NBA Legend’s height. However, he may have had a point in 2014 after the “Pain & Gain Liftoff” between Shaq and Barkley in 2013.
It so happened that Dwayne Johnson (who acted in Pain & Gain) collaborated with O’Neal and Barkley for a bench press lift-off. Ultimately, it was Barkley who could bench press more than Shaquille O’Neal, showing he is the stronger one!

As for The Rock, it’s been a while since he’s stepped foot in the ring.
