Does size matter? Well, yes, it does. The bigger you are, the better it is. Unfortunately, there is always someone bigger than you. For Brock Lesnar, it’s Shaquille O’Neal. Back in 2016, Shaq and Lesnar posed for a photograph before UFC 200.
That photograph shows Brock Lesnar flaring his chest while standing next to a casually-posed Shaq. The NBA Legend did not even have to try to seem larger.
There is no ounce of doubt that Shaquille O’Neal has a great height advantage. Had he been of Lesnar’s height, it’s possible The Beast would have looked bigger considering his combat sports physique.

Unfortunately for him, Shaq’s height truly overshadows all the better things about Brock Lesnar’s impressive physique. Comparing the heights, Shaq stands tall at 7 ft. 1” while Brock Lesnar stands at 6 ft. 3”.
Interestingly, neither of the athletes is the tallest in their own sport. While there are only a handful of WWE Superstars who are taller than Brock Lesnar, the numbers are much higher for Shaquille O’Neal in basketball.
On the other hand, both sports’ average height starts at 6ft. So, if Lesnar ever wanted to become a basketball player, he did have a chance!
Comparing Shaquille O’Neal and Brock Lesnar’s weight
As mentioned, if they were of the same height, Shaq probably wouldn’t look bigger than The Beast. This is primarily because Lesnar’s combat sports history has given him a muscular physique. But, Shaq’s height plays a huge role in his weight.
Shaq’s approximate weight is 324lbs while Lesnar’s approximate weight is 287lbs.
Now, this does not necessarily mean that Shaq is stronger than The Beast. Given the nature of their sport, Shaquille O’Neal is probably quicker than Lesnar, but not necessarily stronger.

There’s no way to find out who is actually stronger unless they’re both put in the ring. But, when Shaq did come to WWE, he did not have a run-in with Lesnar.

Regrettably, it doesn’t seem like Shaq and Lesnar will come to the ring together for a match or a test of strength. If they do, it’s guaranteed all the eyes will be glued to the match on that fateful day.
