The team of Cavaliers reached out to WWE and requested The Undertaker fly to the game in 2016. However, after further investigation, it was revealed that LeBron James made a special request through his representative that he would like to see The Deadman at the game.
WWE granted James’ request and sent ‘Taker along with the widow of The Ultimate Warrior, Dana Warrior. Eventually, the Cavaliers sponsored the whole plane ride of the WWE legend, so that they do not have any trouble.
However, the Deadman had to wait for a long time and a picture of him standing in Cav’s locker room surfaced on the internet. While many players met with the Undertaker and took pictures, James never met with the legendary professional wrestler.

To this day, it is not clear why did LeBron James request Vince McMahon’s company send in ‘Taker only to keep him waiting and not meet him.
It was surprising to see such a thing from LeBron, as he has a rich history with WWE. Back in 2003, when LeBron was a rookie, he made an appearance on an episode of Monday Night Raw.
In 2014, upon James’ request, the WWE sent championship belts for all Miami Heat players after their title win.

Now, there are multiple fans online who want ‘Taker to be the sole inductee in this year’s ceremony. The company has only done this once when WWE only inducted André the Giant during the inaugural Hall of Fame ceremony in 1993.
