Hulk Hogan is a famous superstar outside the professional wrestling industry. While his time in WCW, his stardom brought NBA star, Dennis Rodman, into the company to be a part of a few storylines, and matches. However, once Hogan recalled Rodman rescuing him way before debuting in WCW, as a part of nWo.

In 1997, Hulk Hogan, and Dennis Rodman, appeared on The Howard Stern Show. This was the time when Rodman joined WCW and was flaunting being a member of nWo upon his wrestling debut. Hogan recalled that Rodzilla rescued him once in Florida.
Hogan said, “Do you know what the truth is, about a year ago, I was at Huntington Beach and he rescued me and I mean everybody knows, Hulk’s a pu**y, without a doubt. I was in a lot of trouble. I had a guy, I couldn’t handle and he came to the rescue.”
Rodman added, “You’re like a guy like 450, I had to come in and do the damage. I had to bring a chair and I had to find the New World Order in the house.”
The Hulkster and Rodzilla shared only a little about the incident. However, there might be much more to the story, which Hogan and Rodman didn’t shared with their fans. Surely, the NBA legend showed that he was a lifelong fan of Hulk Hogan.

Rodman was in the town for a game, and at the same place where Hogan was. Therefore, he was present to rescue The WWE Hall of Famer at the time.
How much money did WCW pay Dennis Rodman to be a partner with Hulk Hogan?
Dennis Rodman was a huge Hulk Hogan fan and wanted to make a career in pro wrestling. Rodman debuted in WCW by joining the nWo, and referred to himself as ‘Rodzilla’.
However, at the time, he signed a lucrative deal with WCW, and Eric Bischoff, was confident with the NBA stars joining the company. Furthermore, in 1998, once Dennis Rodman missed the practice, the day after Game 3, in order to fly to Michigan for a taping of WCW Nitro with Hogan.

Rodman just wanted to be in the ring and was not money-driven. However, for a two-year deal, Rodman made $1.6 Million which was more than many WCW wrestlers made.

WWE also offered Rodzilla a contract at the time, but he rejected the same as Hogan wrestled in Ted Turner’s company. Rodman made some memorable moments in WCW with the most remembered being his match against DDP and Karl Malone teaming with Hogan.
