A feud has been making hot news for the past few days, as when Stephen A. Smith appeared on ESPN’s First Take and addressed Jaylen Brown‘s attitude. He did not express it as his own comment but rather referenced one of the ‘NBA sources’ who texted him and gave their thoughts on the Celtics star. In response to Stephen A. Smith’s claim that NBA player Jaylen Brown is unpopular, the Boston Celtics star himself has strongly rebutted the contentious remarks by demanding clarification.

Brown responded to Smith’s claim about his perceived lack of likability with a bold request for the identity of the supposed source whom Smith claimed he had quoted when he talked about Brown. And guess what? AEW superstar Mercedes Mone has backed him on the same. It seems like the CEO too wants to help Brown find out more about this supposed ‘source’.

However, it changed when Mone became a candidate for the TBS title, a belt held by her archrival Willow Nightingale. The last time the two met, Mone suffered an injury that made the medics believe she could no longer wrestle.

Eric Bischoff especially took quite a few shots at the CEO.

However, in the end, it was Mone who shut down her critics with the win. So she truly believes what it feels like to be targeted for no reason. And that could be the motive behind her supporting Jeremy Brown,

Mercedes Mone endorses Jeremy Brown by retweeting his rebuttal to Stephen A Smith

The Boston Celtics star asked his critic, Stephen A. Smith, to name the source that cited Brown as ‘unpopular.’ Brown simply asked Smith to “State your source” on Twitter. It is also worth noting that Mone is a Celtics fan and is often spotted watching their matches live.

It seems like the feud between the basketball stars is slowly spilling over the squared circle, as well with Mone’s recent support. But unlike the world of pro wrestling, this feud is one that started verbally and hopefully will stay verbal till the end. But if they wish otherwise, Tony Khan would love to host the two for a match in All Elite Wrestling. What do you make of Mone’s support for the NBA star? Let us know in the comments section below.
