Recently, former MMA fighter and analyst Chael Sonnen met with Ariel Helwani, and discussed several things including Nate Diaz’s future, World Cup issues and even his own personal issues with John Cena. The interview got heated when Sonnen spoke about Cena.

When Helwani asked what issues Sonnen has with John Cena. He gave a very detailed answer. He started off by ribbing Cena about his social media handles, and comparing them with his own. However, he soon moved toward speaking about Cena’s physique and his steroid usage.

Sonnen stated that Cena stuck a needle and reached the desired state. However, people like him had to work for 20-plus years, and often got depressed when they did not see results. He further compared John Cena with the internet sensation, ‘Liver King.’

The 45-year-old said, “Okay, I really do feel like if you are gonna come out. you’re gonna put your side on the side of nutrition and what’s the difference between John Cena and Liver King? Nothing. They are both using a fake physique.”

Chael Sonnen gets riled up on John Cena for not opening about steroids

The former MMA fighter got extremely frustrated about Cena not speaking the truth about his steroid usage, and not speaking about it either. Although Cena has claimed several times of his physique being natural, Sonnen shared a different point of view.

He said, ” But, it’s like my father used to say, ‘you tell the truth or you say nothing at all.’ And I feel like Cena and The Liver King say nothing but if you’re gonna come out here and you’re gonna tell the youth, ‘Work hard and you can look like me.’ No! you can’t. Tell them about the anabolics. “

Sonnen further stated that these steroids are not illegal, and if Cena buys them with a prescription, then he should be open about these, and him lying about these bothers the former MMA fighter.
