Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar have worked together when WWE was at its peak. Therefore, over the years they formed a friendship, but worked in feuds as well.
Now, Angle and Lesnar never had an MMA fight, and The Gold Olympian has a strong reason why he didn’t. During an episode on The Kurt Angle Show, Angle revealed it.
“I would not want to fight Brock out of respect for him and the friendship we had.”

On the other hand, money talks in every professional field. If the numbers are right, fighters and pro-wrestlers will take a fight to the ring regardless of the relationship they share outside the ring.
“But if the money were right, I know he would want to fight me and I know I would want to fight him too. It is all about money. Sometimes it kind of sucks, you can’t take that personally because you’re trying to provide money to take care of them. That comes first before friendship, so I’m sure Brock and I, if they would’ve gave us the right figure, we probably would’ve went at it.” H/t Sportskeeda

Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle gave entertaining matches to the WWE Universe
The Beast and Angle did not have numerous fights, but they did have some. In fact, The Olympic Gold Medalist had experienced one of his most dreadful moments during a match against Lesnar.
Nevertheless, Lesnar and Angle had a successful match at WrestleMania XIX where The Beast defeated Angle to become the WWE Champion.
Currently, only Brock Lesnar is working with WWE, but as a free agent. The company offered Angle to come back, but he hasn’t taken anything into consideration.
Now, Kurt Angle can come back to the ring for one last match, but he has one condition. The company has to offer him a million dollars for the same. If that happens, he’s more than happy to come back to the company, but he’ll have to hide it from Mrs. Angle!

Keeping this in mind, ideally, it seems that even when pro-wrestlers and fighters retire, the instinct to step inside the ring continues to burn in them. This is evident from Angle even considering he could return, regardless of the money he’s demanding or the injuries he has already sustained.
