In a resurfaced clip on YouTube, we can see UFC President Dana White talking about Brock Lesnar for his MMA run. White started with, “I don’t think people give Brock Lesnar enough credit, just because he came from WWE.” Moreover, White also shared the hatred he had until the first match happened against Frank Mir.
The UFC boss said, “A lot of people wanted to hate Brock Lesnar in his first fight because he was coming from the WWE, but after that first fight most people respected him, He came out and was absolutely dominating Frank Mir, former world champion before he got caught in the submission.”
For fans, The Conqueror’s smooth approach inside the octagon was a surprising sight to see. Even though Lesnar lost he had earned the respect of most of his haters.
We can say Brock Lesnar had finally found something that interested him after a rough couple of years. The UFC legend quickly cemented his legacy in the promotion and won the UFC Heavyweight title after a few fights.
In 2005, The Beast left WWE because of the hectic schedule of the company and quickly signed a non-compete clause blindly that prevented him from wrestling in any other promotion and other combat sports companies.
Nevertheless, Lesnar fought like front the front as he does in his matches and won the legal battle against WWE. He has noted everything in detail in his autobiography “Death Clutch”.
Brock Lesnar blames himself for his loss against Frank Mir
Sometimes failure is the biggest success in life. Similarly, Lesnar’s first loss in UFC against Frank Mir took him to the top in MMA. However, he blamed himself for the loss, as in his autobiography he said, “I handed Frank that victory.”

The Beast narrated, “We must have practiced that scenario about a thousand times in training. I left myself open, and Frankie Boy rolled me right into the knee bar. I had no choice. Tap out, or let him break my leg. I tapped, and I have no one to blame but myself.”
Lesnar was sad that night but acknowledged the fact that he impressed several people in MMA. The Beast’s techniques in the octagon against Mir awed every one, and after the match, Dana White brought him back for another fight.
After losing Mir, Lesnar defeated Heath Herring and won the interim UFC Heavyweight title in his third UFC fight defeating Randy Couture. Furthermore, he defeated Mir at UFC 100 to unify the UFC Heavyweight title and become the only champion in the division.
