Hulk Hogan became a worldwide famous wrestler when he introduced Hulkamania in WWE after joining the company in 1983. However, before joining professional wrestling, The Hulkster aspired to become a baseball player. On several occasions, he has even shared about the same.

Growing up, Hulk Hogan played baseball in High School. Moreover, a few years ago, he opened up to Mercury News about his dream of playing in the MLB, and how it was crushed due to an injury.

The Hulkster said, “I was playing third base. The bases were loaded. I moved in on the infield. The guy stepped outside the box and hit one off the handle. And as it dribbled down the third-base line, I ran in—this was the bottom of the seventh inning.”

He added, “The score was 0-0—and I picked it up. As I threw underhanded to first base, I broke my arm. My arm was never the same.”

Hogan was never the best athlete, but he had great strength, which easily allowed him to play baseball. He established himself as a home run hitter at the West Tampa Little League.

Nevertheless, ‘The Immortal One’ also shared how the scouts from the New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds reportedly came to watch him. Sadly, his injury brought a halt to his promising career as a baseball player. Instead, Hogan entered the wrestling business and become, arguably, the most famous WWE superstar of all time.

As a kid, The Hulkster claims to be one of the best baseball players in his high school. However, those dreams were crushed when he suffered an injury during a match. But does Hogan regret it? He shared about the same with MLB.com.

The WWE Hall of Famer said, “It was the best thing that ever happened to me because I segued into wrestling. Once my arm wasn’t what it was, I started chasing the wrestling dream around, and it finally happened. But baseball was the first love.”
