Hulk Hogan is one of the most popular names in the sport of pro wrestling. During his heyday, he was one of the biggest stars who could single-handedly sell out capacity crowds in the sport. Despite enjoying such fame, he also had his own demons. After the recent Liver King controversy, several other people with good physiques also came under the radar. Back in the day, even Hulk Hogan was questioned by many about steroid use.

In the year 2010, renowned baseball player Mark McGwire was accused of steroid usage, and he himself later admitted to doing it. During an interview with Daily RFT in 2010, Hogan was asked several things about his career and future, along with the controversy surrounding McGwire.

The Hulkster said, when he was asked about his thoughts on McGwire, “I don’t know his situation too well. But the only advice I have is don’t play a game with the fans. You’ve got to come clean. Don’t cling to half truths, either”.

During the same aforementioned interview, Hogan was asked how long he has been keeping his iconic mustache. He answered that after high-school, his then girlfriend had asked him to grow it and it has been on him ever since.

When the interviewer further asked if Hogan would lose his power in wrestling if he shaved it, Hogan had a witty answer. He said, “If I lost the ‘stache, I’d be out of gas. So, yes, I’d say it’s probably the key to everything.” No matter which ever promotion Hogan stepped into, he always maintained his iconic blonde mustache. Even during his stint as Hollywood Hogan when he grew a dark beard, he still maintained his signature blonde ‘stache.
