Dwayne Johnson Fans React to Discovery of His Half Siblings Thanks to Rocky Johnson

The connection a child forms with parents is always special. It can contain the best emotions as well as complexities. However, WWE and Hollywood megastar Dwayne Johnson’s case is no different, too. The Rock has admitted to having a complicated relationship which his father. We have seen the same in the NBC series Young Rock.

Moreover, Johnson has also claimed they started opening up to each other more when he became a father. Nevertheless, The People’s Champ has always valued his family first and makes sure he is there for them every time.

Recently, Sports Illustrated shared an extensive new feature article that revealed a series of DNA tests that revealed five people who count Rocky Johnson as their biological father. It seems Dwayne Johnson’s family grew much more than he ever expected.

Sport Illustrated on their official Twitter account. They tweeted, “Across Canada, five complete strangers found one another through family stories and Facebook sleuthing. Turns out they were all fathered by the same WWE wrestler—and The Rock is their half brother.”

One of the five, Lisa Purvis, arranged the DNA tests to confirm that they were half-siblings. The names of the other four siblings are Paula Parsons, Trevor Edwards, Aaron Fowler, and Adrian Bowles. Also, the profile has details on each of the adults, including how they discovered that Rocky Johnson was their father and confirmed it through DNA tests.

Subsequently, when asked if having any issues with the former WWE Champion, Purvis noted that “Dwayne owes us nothing” while Adrian Bowles said, “Dwayne has nothing to do with the decisions that his dad made. He doesn’t even know who we are.”

This news of Dwayne Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson, was surprising to everyone. Nobody thought about Rocky Johnson having children in Canada. However, fans reacted to the same on Twitter when Sports Illustrated shared the news.

In 1966, before his career peaked, Rocky Johnson married for the first time to Una Sparks. Also, they had two children, Wanda, born in December 1962 and Curtis, born in May 1965. However, the strain in their marriage came when Rocky Johnson became a professional wrestler and moved to the United States. Thus, they stayed away from each other for a long time until the divorce was final in 1978.

He later married to Ata Maivia, the daughter of another wrestler, High Chief Peter Maivia, and a promoter, Lia Maivia. Furthermore, Rocky Johnson and Ata Maivia’s only child, Dwayne Douglas Johnson, was born on May 2, 1972, who gained international fame as The Rock.
