The legacy of TNA, or Total Non-Stop Action, was nothing short of remarkable. In its prime, this promotion emerged as a consistent form of competition for WWE. When TNA first entered the market in the early 2000s, it provided a new and exciting product for fans of professional wrestling. Being a proving ground for many future WWE superstars was convincing enough to thrill the audience.

Six years have passed since the promotion changed its name from TNA to Impact Wrestling. But since then, the flair has been missing from the promotion. Also, the entry of AEW into the scene has made the work even tougher for Impact. With tensions surrounding the promotion, good news came for the fans after the recent PLE Bound for Glory concluded. Well, the fans learned that Impact will change to TNA again. This news, in fact, has taken the wrestling world by surprise.

Now, with the decision to change its name, Impact would surely think to include a few probable stars that could raise the stature of the promotion through their presence. But who could have those names? Let’s find out.

Impact might eye CM Punk

Impact is known to have signed numerous WWE stars in the past. The likes of Kurt Angle, Bully Ray, Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, and even Hulk Hogan have all represented the promotion in the past. Now, after bringing back its iconic name, the promotion might have thoughts of bringing back another iconic figure in the form of CM Punk. Well, Punk has been away from pro wrestling ever since he indulged in a backstage tussle with Jack Perry in AEW and got fired from the promotion. It was Tony Khan who made the decision to terminate Punk’s contract and did so in the best interest of AEW talents and staff.

Since then, fans have been speculating about his potential return to the WWE. The wrestling legion also believes this year’s Survivor Series might be the perfect event to bring CM Punk back since it takes place in Chicago. But all the fans should know that it is not only WWE that can target Punk but TNA. Known for bringing superstars from WWE, the promotion, after changing its name, could plan to bring Punk and might think to change the entire landscape of the promotion.

Also, with the presence of this iconic figure, the promotion could increase its fan base and might become a serious threat to the WWE as well as AEW.

Impact could recruit a renowned producer and coach

Another possible name could be that of CM Punk’s friend from AEW, Chris Guy, aka Ace Steel. Steel has been an integral part of both the WWE and AEW in the past. He has worked as a coach and producer for WWE’s NXT and AEW but was later removed from Tony Khan’s promotion.

Last week, a report from a PWI insider gave certainty that Steel would be working in a producer role for Impact’s Bound for Glory. However, this would just be a tryout opportunity, not a full-time role. Well, his work will determine if the promotion wants him or not. Notably, Steel has been assessed by Impact for a very long time.

They can witness firsthand what Steel has to offer. Now we have to see if he becomes part of the promotion after bringing back the iconic name or not.

Sasha Banks could round off her wrestling journey by joining TNA

Sasha Banks was indeed an integral part of the WWE. Along with Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bayley, she is also among the four horsewomen of the WWE. In fact, her strong bond with a current superstar in Impact wrestling is known to many. Trinity, who was previously known as Naomi, was one of the closest friends to Banks while both fought in the WWE. Both were close enough that the fans regarded them as BFFs at that point in time. However, both had to part ways in 2022 after they left WWE.

While Banks chose to give her services to NJPW with the ring name of ‘Mercedes Mone’, Naomi joined forces with Impact Wrestling. And days after parting ways, it seems fate wants them together. Looking at the previous comments of Naomi concerning her best friend, it seems that Impact, after transitioning to TNA, might think to include the former WWE Women’s Champion on the roster.

A few months ago, Trinity appeared in an interview where she was asked if she wanted to wrestle her old friend on Impact in the near future. Further, making her desires clear, she said, “That is my dream”. Surely, after changing itself to TNA, the promotion would try its best to regain its legacy. And having Banks on the show might be a good choice for the promotion.
