A few days ago, MMA fighter turned comedian Brendan Schaub talked about Project Rock and the UFC deal on Extra Thiccc. He compared himself with Dwayne Johnson to explain the Project Rock footwear and the UFC deal and recalled Reebok as a UFC sponsor.

Schaub started saying, “But they don’t know the game and they should’ve learned from Reebok. Reebok goes we are sponsored see me, sick man. All the guys would be stoked about the gear. We’re not stoked, it ruined your brand, you’re f**ked.”

He added, “Have you heard of Reebok since? It’s the worst business choice they’ve made in their lives. Name the last time you saw somebody wearing a Reebok fight kit. It really ruined the reputation. Not their fault, they have nothing to do with them. They just don’t know the game.”

The Reebok gear deal payment structure was different. The payment structure differed for fighters by the number of fights they had. Fighters in all stages of their careers flooded onto Twitter to air their grievances, but the most consistently dissatisfied were highly regarded by newcomers and well-known middling veterans.

Brendan Schaub asked Dwayne Johnson for an explanation in a unique way

After talking about the Reebok deal, Schaub compared himself with The Great One. Moreover, he had some words for the Jumanji actor over not paying the UFC fighters to promote his footwear.

Schaub said, “So with The Rock, dude you got your tequila that’s popping. I’m the alley-cat version of The Rock right, I’m the poor man’s version of The Rock. I got my whiskey, I got my merch, I got you, I’m touring. He’s doing all his sh*t. So The Rock dude everything is going well.

He added, “I’m telling you, dude, you force and it’s again not your fault. You know what the f**k, how the business works. But if you force these fighters to wear your bullsh*t shoes and you are not gonna pay them. I would love to hear the explanation where you think that’s okay.”
