Black Adam is finally released in the theaters, and there are two sets of reviews for the movie. The critics have given mixed reviews, however, the DC fans are over the moon after watching The Rock’s much-awaited project. The performance of Dwayne Johnson as the Teth Adam is getting a lot of praise, but the return of Superman is what made everyone go ballistic.

Recently, Dwayne Johnson replied to a tweet of a video shared by Brandon Davis. In the video, Davis asked The Rock if the classic battle of Black Adam vs Superman be shown in the second installment. Surprisingly, Johnson had a different answer, which was far away from the idea of even showing Henry Cavill as Superman in the next Black Adam film.
The WWE legend wrote, “As always, great chopping up the #Superman vs #BlackAdam with my guy @BrandonDavisBD. That’s definitely not the next step. We have a lot more long term storytelling to do before that historic DCEU showdown and more new characters to establish. Enjoy the movie #BlackAdam!!”

This answer from DJ has put everyone wondering about what DCEU and The Rock are planning for the next movie. As per Johnson, DC has a vast amount of dominant characters which he wants to introduce in the Extended Universe storyline.
Johnson wants to have a well-written storyline for Black Adam and other DC movies which will release in the future. The Rock wants DCEU to build a proper story and take it slow by concentrating on quality over quantity. The next step, as per DJ, should be Black Adam vs SHAZAM where, like in the comics, the arch-rivals should meet on screen.

Black Adam vs Superman is something that has the potential to be a rip-roaring storyline. It is already popular among DC fans even before there’s a movie. Also, the Teth Adam is one of the DC characters who can go toe-to-toe with Superman, which makes the fight even more interesting.
However, a few fans who are waiting for this showdown were upset as DJ neglected any plans for the potential rivalry. Many fans did take a shot at The Rock.

Take an advisory role in DCEU. The DC brand has some of the most badass characters. Stick to a plan and within 3 years the DC brand will be ahead of the competition by a long shot. Make it brutal and make it fun. Establish an identity and stick to it.

Clearly, DJ is doing everything in his pocket to make DCEU a prominent studio like MCU is. Moreover, he knows what’s the best next step for Black Adam i.e a SHAZAM movie. However, if fans want to see Teth Adam face the last Kryptonite in DC, there’s no doubt that The Rock will make that happen too.
