Dwayne Johnson may have a match at Wrestle Mania 40

The Rock might not have a match at WrestleMania 39, but an appearance is not out of question. Recently speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer, can have a match next year.

He said, “It ain’t’ Dwayne anymore. Dwayne’s not wrestling anybody else unless it’s a three-second match… He did not feel that he had the time to get in the shape that he needed to be in to do a WrestleMania-caliber main event and he left the door open for next year.”

Meltzer also noted that WWE has announced Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the grandest stage this year. Hence, this is not The Rock’s year to face Reigns, but he could have a short “three-second match” as he did with Erick Rowan.
