Positive Update on Becky Lynch’s Upcoming Marvel Involvement Despite Reports of Nixed Plans in 2021

Becky Lynch has successfully made a name for herself in WWE and currently is one of the top superstars in the company. Recently, she has also appeared in the NBC series ‘Young Rock’ in which she played the role of Cyndi Lauper.

However, she also filmed a small part in an MCU film a couple of years back, which was later cut from the movie. But now it seems she is again in talks with the studios for the same role.

A few hours ago, Fightful Select shared a report. In the report, they talked about WWE superstar Becky Lynch’s possibly joining MCU once again.

The movie Eternals had a scene of Lynch which they took out shortly before the release of the film in 2021, as per the report. Surprisingly, it seems the studio and The Man are once again on talking about the same role.

The report said, “Fightful was told that the role was for Marvel Eternals in a post-credit scene to set up something for a future installment, but we’re not sure what the role specifically was. Even though the post-credits scene ended up being nixed, we’re told that the possibility of using Becky Lynch in future films is not out of the question.”

It added, “In 2022, Becky confirmed having conversations with Marvel, but not that she’d actually filmed for the movie. Marvel sources that we spoke to said that they were happy with the portrayal.”

The higher-ups at the studios might have loved her scene that was nixed later. As per this report, the reason they cut the scene was that it was “too depressing.” Moreover, “pop star Harry Styles would have been involved in her scene, as he played Starfox.”

Nevertheless, Eternals received mixed reviews upon its release. But MCU will plan its sequel or the characters will appear in other movies. There is no official word from Marvel or Lynch but, if the studio portrays her, it will most likely be a role of a character in some movie.

Kris Tapley praises Becky Lynch for her role in Young Rock

The former RAW Women’s Champion recently did a role in Young Rock of Cyndi Lauper, for which many praise her. One of those was writer Kris Tapley, who had shared the news of Becky Lynch’s role in Eternals.

However, he recently also shared a tweet in which he praise The Man for portraying Cyndi Lauper. He also recalled why MCU film took her role out of the film at the time.

He wrote, “Becky Lynch as Cyndi Lauper on Young Rock?” with a gif image saying “Perfection”. Furthermore, he also wrote, “Afraid she ended up on the Eternals cutting room floor.”

It is safe to say Lynch has caught the eye of many Hollywood casting directors as of now. If she finally does a Marvel film, her stock in the acting world will increase too. It will be similar to as her popularity in WWE is.
