After making a huge impact in Hollywood by starring as the Peacemaker in DCEU, John Cena is on a different ride. Since transitioning as an actor from a WWE superstar, the 16-time-world champion is busy getting new projects.

Similarly, he is ready to start 2023 with a new movie project. A 35-year-old Hollywood star will accompany him as a co-star in this movie.

Recently, Herald Sun shared an article covered by the Geo TV wrote about a new movie starring John Cena and Zac Efron. The new film will be called ‘Ricky Stanicky’, which will release in February 2023. The actors and the film crew are set to leave for Melbourne to film the entire movie.

The residents in Kensington received a letter to use their homes for the filming. The filming we go on for three days and the people who accepted the request, sent a letter back about the consideration.

The movie’s official synopsis read, “Four teenage friends create a fictitious character, Ricky Stanicky, to get them out of sticky situations. It’s a lie that the boys find irresistible, and it continues to come in handy in their adult lives.” 

It adds, “But when their partners become suspicious, they’re forced to hire a washed-up, self-destructive actor to bring ‘Ricky’ to life with dire, yet hilarious consequences.”

Peter Farrelly directs the entire movie, which will be made in Melbourne over an eight-year period. Moreover, the Baywatch actor has previously worked with Farrelly in the film 17 Again. 

It would be great to see ‘The Cenation Leader’ in a comedy film once again would be great. Last time we saw Cena’s best comedy role was in Trainwreck. Therefore, the fans will surely love this movie.

John Cena will return to WWE later this month on SmackDown

Ahead of Friday’s, December 9 2022 episode of SmackDown Variety shared a report of John Cena returning to WWE. The return will be on the blue brand’s episode on December 31st, 2022. 

WWE shared the news on Twitter while SmackDown aired. They wrote, “Mark your calendars, @JohnCena is coming back to #SmackDown on December 30th! You won’t want to miss it!”

The last time the Peacemaker star appeared in WWE was on RAW in June. It was his 20th WWE anniversary, and he made a heart-moving speech while addressing the fans. Also, he had a match in WWE a year ago against Roman Reigns for the Universal Title.

It will a great moment for John Cena to address the WWE Universe while moving into the New Year. Moreover, we could also find out if he will have a match at WrestleMania 39 or not.
