John Cena Once Hilariously Revealed How His Brother Dan Became a Cop Despite “Running From the Law” as a Teenager

‘Cena’ has now become a popular name in the world of professional wrestling and now Hollywood. John Cena entered the mainstream through WWE and has now successfully transitioned into an actor. However, the name ‘Cena’ is not just limited to wrestling and acting as one of his four brothers is also a well-known ‘Cena’, but in the Police department. 

Once the WWE legend shared how his brother became a police officer telling a childhood story. Moreover, he also got emotional while praising his younger brother.

John Cena and his younger brother Daniel Cena or Dan appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The F9 star recalled a story of police officers being at their door several times when they were young and funnily shared that Dan aspired to become a police officer after that.

Cena said, “Yeah and we were, how’s the best way (to explain this)? We weren’t good kids.” Dan added, “Aggressive. Very aggressive.”

Further, Cena added, “Yes we were. There might have been a few police stops at our house growing up. We both spent quite a bit of our youth and adolescence running from the law and one of us was like, ‘Man I can out do these guys. So I’m just gonna get involved.” Additionally, Kelly said, “He ran to them.” to which the WWE legend agreed.

Dan joined the West Newbury Police Department in 1998 at the age of 19. Since then, he worked tirelessly to become a police sergeant. 

‘The Cenation Leader’ has a good relationship with his brothers and stays in touch with them. He shared that the longest time he didn’t talk to them was “three to four months” because of his “irresponsibility with communicating.”

‘The Cenation Leader’ got emotional praising his brother Dan

In the same interview, ‘Super Cena’ mentioned how his brother is the ‘Super Cena’ for being a police sergeant. The 16-time world champion got emotional while praising Dan.

Cena shared the few moments when he speaks to his Dan. He tells things he has seen as a police officer they haven’t. It makes the WWE “distant” at times, as he said to Clarkson.

However, Cena is proud of Dan for doing his work with dedication over the years. Furthermore, the Peacemaker star also highlighted how his brother never takes his work to home even though it’s tough and he loves it. He is a great husband and father, which John likes very much about his brother.
