Black Adam took almost 10 years to be filmed and released in the theaters. It was Dwayne Johnson who had some other plans for the character, rather than making an appearance in Shazam in 2017. However, it seems Black Adam 2 will not take another 10 years to be in production.

Recently, on the John Campea show, film producer Robert Meyer Burnett shared that there is already progress being made on a sequel to Dwayne Johnson‘s Black Adam. Moreover, he claimed the filming might start in the next four months.
Burnett said, “I like the philosophy they’re like, ’Look, we waited 15 years to get Dwayne The Rock Johnson as [Black Adam], let’s take advantage of this. He says in this, ‘We’ll have a script ready pretty fast.’ I have definitively heard from somebody on the inside, their script’s done.”
He added, “They’ve got a second script. Now, they may want to tinker with it depending on what how the reactions are to the first film, but they literally could probably roll into shooting this thing in like four months if they wanted to.”

He didn’t just stop here as the film producer added how much they aim to earn from the sequel. As per Burnett, they are looking at around $475 million in return after they finally released the film in the theaters.

It seems after waiting for almost a decade, The Rock and DCEU are planning big things for Black Adam’s future. They want to connect the character to other heroes and villains, most notably his arch-rival Shazam. Furthermore, there are also talks about a possible Black Adam vs Superman movie in the future.
DCEU fans react to Black Adam sequel rumor
The fans are the heart of a franchise, as the former WWE superstar always claims. While promoting the movie, Johnson said Black Adam will bring a new era into the DC Extended Universe. Nevertheless, it is safe to say ‘The Great One’ successfully did the same and planning to do it in the future.

The fans on Twitter were wondering how the script is quickly completed with a new set of writers.
If it’s written by the same writers who wrote Black Adam it’s gonna be a shit show.

This user calls the dialogue cringe in the Black Adam movie.
First one was good hopefully in the sequel it would be more better, I hope they show the backstory of Jsa characters, better dialogue especially for Amon his line is cringe tbh

Not surprising since the movies dialogue and plot are bare bones

Fans are concerned with new writers for the film.
With new writers? there has to be a point where they go to writing a good story over just too much “fun” and all that bc the rock wants that, hope it’s more story focused imo

By who? These films should be presentations, not full films. I expect even more actionfests and GARBAGE stories in the sequel.

There are demands for a good villain too.
Write an actual vilain instead of the cliché one we saw in the first one. As Hitchcock said; a movie is really good according to its vilain

Superman vs Black Adam in the sequel!?
lol it’s gonna be black adam vs superman. A Black Adam movie can’t be successful on its own so they need superman to bring the audience back. It’s literally another superman vs batman movie at this point

Is DCEU making a mistake?
“Thus far, the only two releases currently on the schedule for the DCU are The Flash in June 2023 and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom six months later”
