In 2018, Rotten Tomatoes shared a tweet calling Rampage movie the top-ranked gaming film of all time. They wrote, “If @TheRock’s #RampageMovie keeps its current score (53% 🍅) it will become the highest rated video game movie of all time”
Dwayne Johnson saw the tweet and highlighted the fact share by Rotten Tomatoes of Twitter.
The Rock wrote, “Wow! Very cool RAMPAGE news! Not pointing to the scoreboard yet, but it seems we may have finally broken the dreaded video game curse. And remember, I starred in the stinker “Doom” so I have lived thy curse 🙏🏾”
The Rock never takes a shot at other movies but, here he secretly talked about his 2005 film Doom, which received negative reviews.
After reading the tweet, you can make out Johnson is talking about mistakes in his previous video game featured movie. Therefore, he was happy that his 2018 of the video games feature film was a hit.

The Doom movie had a budget of between $60–70 million, but earned $58.7 million worldwide at the box office. However, Rampage grossed over $428 million worldwide with having a budget between $120–140 million.
Nevertheless, the person behind the screen handling DOOM’s Twitter account focused on the words like “dreaded video game’, ‘curse’ and “stinker” alongside the word “Doom”. They tweeted, “Dwayne.” thinking The Great One might be highlighting them on social media.
Dwayne Johnson once shared a heart-touching moment with a gorilla while preparing for the film Rampage
In 2018, The Rock appeared on the Ellen Show, where he shared visiting Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. He recalled having a moment with a gorilla named Taz for the first time at Atlanta Zoo, who spend time with DJ as if they were friends.
Johnson said, “He comes over and sits down and he just waits for me to feed him. It was beautiful, and I was like, you know, because you get so worked up and then this happens.”
Ahead of meeting Taz, the primatologist at the zoo had warned DJ that the animal might attack him. This is because Johnson has alpha qualities that might trigger Taz. However, upon seeing them spending time together, she said, “I’ve never seen him act this way!”
