In a resurfaced YouTube documentary video about Hogan’s life, the WWE legend shared his memories of the audition for the Rocky 3 movie.
The WWE legend said, “He goes, ‘Let’s just get in the ring and see how you can move because I want to try to hit you. I want to grab me and stop me and hit me back.’ I’m saying, ‘I don’t know man, are you sure?’ He goes, ‘Yeah get your hands on me and really lay me out. I’m going, ‘Dude, you want me to hit you as hard as I’d hit a wrestler?’
He added, “He was like, ‘Come on’ and jabbed me back, popped me in the nose and then when he throw another jab, I just reach out and grabbed him as soon as my forearm hit his back his face hit my cowboy boots. Blood was coming out of his teeth and his nose. He goes, ‘That’s it you are great!’”
We can say that it took some amount of blood for Sly to be impressed by The Hulkster. He played the part and got praised for the same after they released the film.
Hulk Hogan thought Sylvester Stallone wanting to meet him was a joke!
It is obvious, if you get news of any celebrity out of nowhere wanting to meet, anyone will consider it a joke. Hogan also thought the same.
Hogan said, “They handed the note to me in the dressing room. I just threw it away, huh whatever. Because wrestlers are always playing jokes.”
Fortunately, Hogan was convinced soon after of the authenticity of the message.
